You can, in fact, take your engine and convert it for not a lot of money. Look on eBay and I'll bet you'll find everything you need, and if not I'm sure that some of the guys here have what you need lying around in their shops or know where to get it.

My mistake your right, but actually my 78 is a 25 and was originally ordered with twin 75hp mercs and The 81 is a 20 like most. The only rot on the 78 is the transom so filling it in and cutting it down to 20 will be my best option. Of coarse if I do that I'll just want something newer and stronger on the back then what I got.
