Good to hear on getting the motor running wide open. Usually that is all thats needed when you wonder if all the work you do on an old boat is worth it. How much water got in the tank? You may be able to get a clear bowl Racor and let it do its job and drain it when the bowl fills with water. While you are doing the trailer bearings look at your springs and see if they need replacing. Better to do it all at once.
