Well My first Motor was a 6hp Johnson,
my 2nd was a 60 hp Johnson,
My 3rd was 90 hp Mercury,
4th was 165 I/O,
and my 5th and currant is a 175 Yamaha
I loved the Johnson and the Yamaha!! If I was going to buy new I think I would go Johnson for no other reason then price and the fact that you can install them your self and still have a warr.!
I love the Yamaha but they are so much money and then you have to pay for the install if you want the warr. IMO they are not all that much better!
