Well made it back in one piece without too many misadventures. Left Friday am for the drive to East Falmouth, 280 miles. Took us just under 6 hours door to door with no issues but the occasional traffic slow downs here and there.

Arrived at our acommodations and launched our boat and tied off. Took a little cruise Friday afternoon to check out the lay of the land.

Saturday morning headed over to Waquoit Bay to meet up with the Massholes. And in case you guys were wondering they all have New England accents....All things considered though I can understand them a whole lot better than that group I met last year in South Carolina!....Dont know why you guys cant all talk like us.

I felt a little bad that they changed the location at the relatively last minute to accommodate my location because like MJ said there was nice breeze going and they all had a nice ride to the Bay heading right into it. The rest of the guys wrote it up pretty good....RKC and his wife know how to pack food for a day on the boat. Beer was cold weather was good. Was great to meet everyone. And don't think that CB wasn't getting a kick out of watching his pal trying to light and relight his grill!

Sunday based upon recommendations from the group we decided on Martha's Vineyard for a day trip. Took the boat over about 11:00 AM and into Oak Bluffs Harbor. It was my first experience mooring up like that which was fun. As it was crowded you basically moor up to any city mooring ball that has less than 4 boats. We were moored up with a couple and their dog who had been there all weekend. Had a couple of beers with them and then had the launch take us over to the dock to see the sites. Kids enjoyed the Carousel, good lunch at some Ale house, some shopping and then back to the boat for another beer and hanging out with our mooring mates. The weather had gone from pretty good to spectacular by the end of the day. Had a nice flat ride home.

My only misadventure was as it was so flat we took a ride east for a little bit to check out the shore line. I was cruising along at a pretty good clip not at all close to shore but closer than I had been all weekend. It was paralleling a nice sandy beach, no jetties or rocks in site when all of a sudden there was one of those mystery bumps that seem to come out of nowhere with no real explanation. Didnt think much of it (although I moved a little further out than I was). Well the next day I pulled the boat out to go home and found about 2" of my skeg completely sheared off. No prop damage in the slightest just a nice jagged horizontal tear across the skeg. Fortunately it was not worse. Just have to add $100 to the cost of the trip for the skeggard I just ordered.

I'll have to get some more pics off my wifes phone when I have a chance but here are a few.
