I am in the middle of trying to figure the same thing out. I think I am going to lean towards putting a 25-30 Gal plastic tank in the rear compartment in the cuddy. there is a place in the city that makes custom fuel tanks (sizes) I will get the right fit in the cuddy to reduce movement and they are foam filled. I will then run a sepreat hose into the filter housing and all should be good for the LONG run to the Holy grail of fishing grounds. It will help me keep the nose down a bit with out the use of the trim tabs on the way out ( I plan on using that tank first) then there should be no weigh issues in the wrong spot. Running out tihs year 10 Miles from shore and floating to up to Alaska was NOT fun

and the fuel issue is now #1 on the to do list.
