I'm one of the guys that runs a disabled VRO pump. It's not hard to do and it works perfectly. I like premix... a little more costly in oil, but much less expensive than a new engine. I don't know if it will fit your engine, but my original VRO had a bad diaphram but the housing was fine. I still have it if you want it. Send me a PM with your address and I'll ship it out to you. It's from a 1991 Johnson 200.
