A more witty man I have never met. He is an inspiration to all that knew him. Salesman, soldier, woodsmith, mentor, father, husband, friend. He was kind and caring, we will miss him.. A small bit of guilt goes along with his passing because he lived in Atlanta and we could not be there in the end. Until hospice we would communicate via e-mails on occasion, just too many miles apart and everyone is busy with their immediate family/work. No regrets, he knew what he meant to me and he knew we loved him so, I made sure of that. Don Risteen RIP..
Ridge - So sorry for your loss . . . I know what you mean by "Noone can explain to me the needless suffering that this man had to endure. He fought the good fight."

I watched my grandfather suffer and hang on for 2 weeks gasping for his last breath each day while his lungs finally filled with fluid. We would be put in jail if we allowed animals to suffer similar to what we force people to go through at the end of their lives. May he rest in peace.
