My take on it is this - I think this guy knows there is no way he can get 10k which is why he put obo. By putting obo he is letting the prospective buyers know he won't take $6500 (yet). My guess he isn't in a huge hurry to sell and realizes if someone does show interest, they are likely willing to pay a pretty good price considering his starting price tag. When he does not get a single call he will drop down to 9k obo then do it all over again. His probably just doesn't want to sell himself short just in case there is someone who will fork over 10k. In a word - he's just feeling out the market IMO. Not a bad thing to do if in no hurry.
What do ya'll think it is worth (given the 4 pics and limited info)?

I replied to the wrong comment - meant to answer your question here Ok then:
Before I found my V21, I looked at a few that were in lousy condition - price range mostly $ 5,000 area.
I paid $ 8,500 for my 96' V21 with 96' 150 Evinrude
Boat - excellent to exceptional condition, no soft spots.
Motor - very low hours, perfect compression
Trailer - dual axle, in fair to poor condition
Guy with nearly truly MINT 96' V21 trailer etc recently sold for.......I believe $ 12,000
So, in my opinion, his asking price may be a bit on the high side.
If the guy paid $ 12,000 for a truly MINT 96' V21, motor same, trailer same and really likes this type boat, that's still a very nice rig compared to new, but discounted for wood in the construction etc.
