We just had a set in a nest under the deck fledge the other day. Wife comes in and says they flew out of the nest. She was under the impression they would fly back to the nest.....told her I don't think that is how it is supposed to work.  |
I've been handling snakes all my life and I like to have blacks and kings around to keep the rodent population down... the only ones I kill are the coppery colored ones...which by the way, we had the dogs out yesterday at Lawson's Fork Creek...BIGGEST COPPERHEAD snake I've ever seen in my life went across the trail in front of us...w/3 dogs we just went the other way, plus I had nothing to kill him with, so his lucky day or else he'd be maggot poop by now...
