I am rather fond of you myself Tsubaki
Dave that BenchMade never cuts anything, I have my 30 year old Swiss Army for any chores to be done.
That BenchMade is there for one purpose and one purpose only, to cut whatever needs to be cut to save my life. Living or material.
I would seriously pursue that Sig, a 225 is around the size of a High Power, slimmer in the handle due to single stack magazine.
The 228 is a little shorter length wise and a little thicker in the handle. Higher capacity. Most women I trained had no problem with it size wise.
Many Sigaholics consider it the finest pistol Sig ever made for all around feel balance accuracy and reliability.
Though I will tell you from considerable experience with all their models there is literally no difference other than feel in the hand between the 225, 226, 229, 220.
As long as they say on the slide" Made in West Germany or Made in Germany"
An early gun made in Alexandria VA or Exeter New Hampshire are still decent but in around 2001 - 2003 period the corporate suits out voted the Gun Smith's and quality started deteriorating. Though many still love them.
Want to see a real operator get a chubby, hand him a German made 228 0r 226 or 225 or 229. If he has any experience in martial training there is going to be a big smile on his face and good luck getting it back.
And if you find a clean used one keep me in mind my friend, I am always interested in one of those.
