Yes, I have done it many times over the years both in winter with 10' to 12' seas in a 43' Viking Convertible with waves crashing over the flybridge, in a 36' Luhrs and in a 29' Stamas Liberty in summer with flat seas, but never in the V. As to the weather, there's no guaranty but we do know that mid june has many spectacular days for crossing, however hurricane season in the Atlantic ocean is officially from June 1st to November 30th.
Bad weather, we go to Plan B; to go down to Key West, half the trip on the protected waters of the intercoastal waterway, the rest on the Atlantic.
