I use a food saver for exactly that use. Ya, it's great for saving food, but it's also great for protecting things from water, dirt, etc. All my unused handguns are LPS sprayed and vacuum sealed. No worries about corrosion, rust....pretty much anything....
But back to the subject at hand... in addition to all the previously mentioned items, you need a first aid kit in a waterproof case... and
MAKE SURE that it has hook removal tools and instructions in it. (And a waterproof tool box isn't a bad idea either.. at the very least use plastic, not metal, tool box(s) for the storage of everything mentioned.
