There are talking points either way. Pre-existing illness and affordability are the two talking points I am most interested in. Forcing the ones that have carried health insurance since birth to pay more so the ones that have never had insurance are covered is crazy. Part of the reason health care is so expensive now is the fact that hospitals are forced to treat people with no insurance. Those costs get passed on to the payers. Let's face it, if you need a major operation without healthcare you may be forced to go without or be in debt the rest of your days. Prudent to have coverage for the what if's even if the premium is 20% of your pay???
