I've got the transom painted and ready to hang the Johnnie soon as Dave can shake loose...Merc still ridin' around w/me everywhere I go...anybody asks, I tell 'em it's my "Spare" motor...several VERY impressed w/your handy work on the crate...it really is a nice job...
Got ALL the wiring pulled out of it...much of it in pretty bad shape and got the old dash pulled as well as the old steering helm/cable...gutted the bilge of pumps, battery boxes and that damn thru-hull speed transducer...
Pulled up the cover over the gas tank and got it recored (I need fiberglass technique help badly ...LOL!!)...not pretty, but it'll be strong and dry...
Pumped about 30 gals of gas outta the tank and actually was surprised to see how clean and how little water was in it...looked around inside the tank w/flashlight and saw no signs of debris, so I've dismissed the idea of pulling the tank and gonna rehose it all w/new inline water separator and go to it...picked up all the stuff yesterday, so got lots to do next few days before hopefully takin' it down to Goose Creek...
Hope your transition to the Optimax is going well...didja get all the parts lined up?...
