Did he do so to provide power drifts and to keep his charges on what were the most promising waters while avoiding the horrible boat traffic on one of the busiest boating weekends of the season?
Was the Captain not charming to the ladies encountered and provide camaraderie to the men of venture?
Was not a bottle of fine whiskey available to those who were in need?
