Oh well... it was a nice thought. Trailered down, put the boat in the water near Lanoka Harbor.... noticed that the tell-tale wasn't pissing like it should... figured something was caught in the hose or whatever. Pulled the cowl to check hoses and smelled gas... looked down and saw gas dripping from my VRO/fuel pump. Pulled it off at the dock... bad diaphragm. Now I have to find one. Got a quote from the marina...Guy there told me that OMC stopped making replacement parts for my VRO pump about 5 years ago... but he'd be very happy to sell me a whole new one for roughly $500. Put the boat back on the trailer and came home. (
It's been a bad day)...... There is no way on God's green earth that I'm going to pay $500 for a piece of rubber the size of a mayonnaise jar lid!!

I'll go hunting on Monday... Hope you guys at Tices had a better day than I did...
Oh, and did I mention that I also need to replace my water pump impeller?....<sigh>
