The seat vinyl is actually in solid condition, as well as the foam.

It was the lousy plywood which I assume original that rotted out.
So.........I've removed it from the boat, disassembled, cleaning the vinyl etc.......
I'm using the remaining plywood pieces to trace out replacement using pressure treated or marine grade, plus applying a barrier coating.

I'll invest some man hours, but hopefully save some $$$ and still have it " original"......
Frame was in ok condition.
Bgreene, I think yer on the right track...could you possibly hinge the bottom seat cushion so it tilts toward the stern, allowing access to the tank?

Suggest you make sure the treated or marine grade wood you use is DRY throughout before applying a barrier coat
