Better dig deeper than the 300 supermag if you want to keep up with the 383 in hp and torque. But then the power to weight ratio kicks in at some point as does the limitation and drag of running a fully submerged lower like an I/O. If fuel were cheap a Shaun Torrente 375 Stroker. Basically a 3.0 liter Merc with a stroker crank, downdraft style intake with tight heads port timing and exhaust chest like the 300X, lightened flywheel, custom fuel and ignition curves.
