I have looked into soda blasting but it's out of the budget. There is a 40lb. soda blast tank at harbor freight that I looked into also. Still considering it, it's cheap but small and it will probably take just as long as sanding.

As of right now it looks like I will be under the boat with my respirator and DA sander for days. I sanded the fouling paint from the sides of my boat before I painted it and it sucked. I don't expect it to be easy.
