X2 Reel has a point. I just serviced a 90 Yamaha 4-stroke. Plugs, oil, fuel filters(2), oil filter, impeller, gasket, gear lube and three o-rings for $200. All parts are high IMO. A friend of mine toasted his lower unit on his new Yamaha 200 4-stroke, insurance replaced the lower with a new Yamaha lower. If I recall the numbers right the price was about $3400 and I thought that was high until I found out the insurance adjuster had told him "Could be worse, Mercury V-6 lowers are $5000." Ouch! Lets assume the yellow guy is the consumer.
