). I have a history of coworkers that "try to master" the English language and come off sounding like pompous idiots. I work in a technical\engineering environment and it irritates me when these people write technical papers and try to show off their "master of the English language" by adding superfluous text rather than trying to make the document understandable. Sometimes more is less.
Obviously the author is well respected, and not superfluous, I just don't "get into it".
