You're in the toughest phase of having a pet. I believe your grief will pass with time. How much time I can't guess, but obviously you and your family loved this cat very much, and it will take a while because you've lost a member of your family. It's perfectly normal to feel this way. My calendar tells me that it's almost a year since I lost my dog, and I still think about him
every day. In time your thoughts will shift away from grief and more to happy memories about him. But for now, it's okay to grieve.
