As for the power pack, from 88-01 they were all the same except for the connectors that they used. You can swap in a late model stator and use the late model pack on any of the 88-01 though.

Ahh, ok... np.. I still want to get the carbon ones if I can, so that will be my first choice.. Lets see what I can turn up before we talk about steel reeds..  Thanks for the info on the CDI !!! The stator is a later model, so that explains things...Cool!!
