This time I was the lonely fool who was just snagging seaweed.
Went out late afternoon into dark and trolled around the mouth off the canal, nothing.
This was my first "night adventure" in the boat and I was surprisingly comfortable with it once I was there in the "dark". My programed gps got me back through the channel just fine. Didn't need the spotlight, but it was ready. What I did notice was that my compass was not lit, so my only back up was a hand held gps. But I didn't venture far from home to begin with...
next time.. whenever that may be...
