Willy, you asked for a follow up on the sonar transducer thru-hull installation I did recently w/Chumbucket's sage advise as a guide...
In short...CB was right on the money!!...WORKED GREAT!!...could not asked for a better signal at all speeds...and there's no transducer hangin off the transom (not that it was ever a problem) so it's a lot cleaner install offering no water resistance...if anybody wants to do it, go back and see CB's thread on how to and mine on how it went together for me...that's the good news...
The other side of the coin is I fuggedup the GPS antenna plug to the same combo sonar/nav unit
...or at least I haven't gotten it to come up yet
...still got a couple of tricks to try, so we'll see...
