I love the "Coffin Cowl" engines. They are (IMHO) some of the best engines that Merc ever made.. Sweet running and powerful. As mentioned in several other posts, I have one (200hp) on the back of one of my boats. (Not a Black Max model though).
$400 for that engine is a steal.... Be careful though... I seem to recall hearing something negative about the 200 Black Max engines.... Just can't seem to put my finger on it. You can find the age of that engine by looking at the paint stripe on it. I'm probably waaaayyy off base, but I *think* that the blue stripe was an 84.
