Talk about lowlifes.. Back in the 70's I had a similar incident. Not on a trailer but on my IH Scout. I had just bought new chrome lugnuts the day before so I know that they were tight. Someone stole some off my wheel and my left front tire came off while driving to work. Thank God I was on a back road without a lot of traffic. I was able to put it into 4wd and back myself off the road, dragging the brake drum as I went, then jack the truck up and remounted the tire... wound up stealing one lug nut from each of the other good tires to hold the rim on, then drove nice and slowly to the nearest gas station (about 5 miles) and got it fixed. From then on I have always used a locking lug on each of my tire rims, so I know that I'll have at least one tight lugnut.
Glad you made it home ok Fermanator.... People like that should be made to play hopscotch in the middle lane of Interstate Route 80 during rush hour. Seems about right.....

If God didn't have a purpose for us we wouldn't be here, so
Live simply, Love generously, Care deeply, Speak kindly.

Silence, in the face of evil, is itself evil. Not to speak is to speak, not to act is to act. God will not hold us guiltless.
