You stated that you had to get use to the trim tabs--did you have it trimed down by chance--that will kill your speed for sure. You should definitly get more speed than that.
I get around 53 mph at WOT with a 200HO E-tec--no trim tabs.
Sounds like you are pitched right. Trimmimg it down will kill speed in a hurry for sure.
