91+ 150/175 carbed engines are great engines. The 97-00 150/175 FICHTS are a NO NO by most acounts as they are known to have HIGH rates of failures in them. 01-early 02 in the direct injected EVINRUDES can be hit or miss, but 03+ are said to be good engines. 200/225 carbed engines are all pretty good, just thirsty. 93+ though in the 200/225's are known to suffer from block rot as these are the closed deck engines and salt builds up between the gaskets and blocks in them and rots em out.
