its coil on plug, so its hard to tell if its sparking, I can remove teh coil input wires adn I'lll get a code for coil output. Propane? for vacuum leaks or running lean?

This thing had been running good(for a Ford), I dumped a bunch of old gas out of an old car(filtered thru two racors) at church that the Methodist Men had up for sale(long story), the next day I started it up in hte morning and it started running like crap, I figured I'd screwed up the injectors. I pulled them out and cleaned them as best I could(don't ask how). I noiced two of the plugs were completely carboned up to the point you couldn't see the center electrode. I put a set of plugs in it after I cleaned the injectors, still ran like crap(same four cylinders). I put two cans of power tune down the injector holes(faster to pull the injectors than the plugs) to get the carbon out(now it smokes). I cleaned the injectors again, cleaned the plugs. Still runs like crap, I didn't have time to screw with it so I parked it for a while. One I got back on it, I started from scratch. I pulled the tanks and cleaned it out, it was pretty clean, I put a new sock on the fuel pump. I pulled the injectors out and sent them to InjectorRX, flow sheet was pretty ugly. I flushed the lines, put in fresh gas, new filter, new plugs. Put everthing back together, it ran better, but still runs like crap. A couple of symptoms, the power lags behind the pedal, its like its hooked up with a rubber band, it will turn up to around 3000 and thats it, when you give it more gas under load it starts spark knocking something awlful. I got it on the road and drove it around, not much better, smokes pretty bad, but its only running on four. I elimnated the convertors, took each coil and cleaned the contacts, cleaned the wire to the plug, packed them in dielectric grease before installing them back in. Its got me puzzled. Whats one of the these 4.6 sound like when it jumps time? DO they do it often? BTW, its got right at 100,000 miles on it.
