They have excellent fuel economy and tons of power. the smartcraft guages give loads of info. and they have a troll control feature that locks the engine at a desired trolling speed reguardless of conditions. in the event you ever need warranty work Mercury is an absolute pleasure to deal with. the towboat I drive has a 225 opti. it has 392 hours on it and its not even two seasons old yet.
