Carl,

I had almost the same thing happened to me this weekend. Anything over 3 thousand rpm would cause the primer ball to collapse and motor to shut off. I have all new fuel lines and had just changed my fuel filter. Took the boat out the next day, ran the boat for a couple of hours, and could not replicate the problem.

Go figure?

One thing I noticed, the problem started after i fueled up.

I was thinking maybe the vent for the fuel tank maybe restricted or clogged.
