If it's for the main power, be sure to go up at least one wire size from the battery to the motor. That is a long distance.
As for that model, it was intended to mount the batteries in the bilge and not to be deep cycle at that.
I put battery trays with straps, also installed a battery/bilge guard.
At some point in every boat it comes down to chasing lures, tools, baitfish or trashfish to the bilge.


A cover would have been great except after measuring the mounting locations I would have to order some weird size batteries and I ain't much on custom parts.
So the next best thing and easily installed and removed!
