you well need to undo all the bolts on one side of the side plates, and the big bolt that holds the steering tube, then will have to beat the carp out of it and. maybe some heat.Also remove the cable.
This will allow you to remove the pump.

Mine came apart pretty easy, and i did it on thge boat, but some v20's need to remove or at least take out the bolts and slide motor over on transom to get the steering cable out. And might b better and easier gto remove the motor
