Keep in mind one very substantial reason it shot up is because the new guy is showing the cost of the wars in the Middle East...the previous administration chose not only not to put a budget on it, but also not to include the dollars being spent in numbers making it out to the public...
Gee...now I wonder why he and his cohorts would want to hide numbers like that...
