Jackplate thoughts
I am in the middle of a transom rebuild and I wanted to get some thoughts on using a jackplate with a 10 inch setback. The transom is notched to 20 inches but I am looking to repower and that would allow me to use either a 20 or 25 inch motor and if I don't get a newer motor then I can still use the one I have, and I also have an idea for a casting deck or removable seat and want to set the motor back a bit.
