Yamaha is a nice motor and the gas not to bad, I had a 89, 175 on my V20 and it was a great motor!
The compression should be 120 but like said above if its lower and all are with in 10% should be fine, mine was 105 to 110 all the time, but when I got it she was in the 90's,the thing with Yamaha they like to carbon up after a while and a good De-carb brought ther compression right back up!
