Also keep in mind, the hull is almost never square and hardware is usually eyeballed to fit in the best looking location.
Don't believe me, take a ruler to any portion of the boat.
Consider if you want any of them to angle slightly out or be straight back, remember to check for room of the angle and boat sides.
Being you got stainless, might as well bolt them in also. Locking nuts are usually a real pain for that installation, lockwashers with nuts and fender washers are a lot easier for one man installations.
