The guy I've been runnin' offshore with for these past many years has decided to call it quits in terms of owning/operating his own boat...says he's gettin' too old for the rigors of offshore fishin'...
That leaves his beloved "Phat Kat" up for sale if anybody's lookin' for such a boat, it's a 28' Pro Sports CC Catamaran w/ twin 200 Mercury Optimax motors...Furuno electronics include sonar/plotter and radar...and auto-pilot...punch in the coordinates, set the throttles and you can hands off the wheel til yer there...I've always called it "Robo-Bote"...
It is FULLY rigged for trollin' or bottom-fishin' and won't disappoint ... it is a fishin-machine extraordinaire... T-Top w/swing-out out-riggers, rod-holders galore and more stuff on it than I can recall...not to mention that catamaran-ride...SMOOTH!!....she cruises at 26 kts at 3600 rpms all day long ... typical trip was run 2 hours off, troll all day, then 2 hours back on about 90 gals ... many boats capable of that range/ride are gonna burn a WHOLE LOT more fuel than that.
Anyway, if anybody's lookin' for such a craft as this, he's in the $30,000 range w/it and probably will negotiate some.
