Removal was easy. I removed the 4 screws that hold down the teak trim along either side of the sliding hatch and then the hatch comes right off. The felt I used had adhesive on the back. I cut it to size, peeled of the backing, and stuck it to the under side of the hatch. Bought the felt at the local hardware store. The felt was not intended for marine use so we'll see how it hold up in the long run. Right now it works great!
