Unless you have very good access, and I mean very good as in easy to reach with both arms, this is one job that I would gladly pay someone to do. You would think that Arimar would make the outside flange of this unit with a couple of recessed holes in order to place a spanner wrench on from underneath. Instead, I had to get both arms into a deck inspection plate with two wrenches. One to keep the transducer from rotating, and the other to tighten the large bronze nut. Couldn't do it. Mj was able to grab enough of the flange from the outside with large waterpump pliers while I tightened the nut inside.
MJ is right. It looks like someone set of a black 5200 pipe bomb in there.
