Another way to lower fuel costs is to get rid of ethanol. Our current ethanol production methods uses around 1.2-1.3 gallons of diesel to grow, harvest and cultivate the materials and to get it to the manufacturing plant. Not to mention that it will only yield around 80-85% of the power potential of gas. So not only are we using more petroliem to make than what we produce, but were getting less efficiency when using it. All to make some tree huggers that don't know no better feel better  .
