Well, he got the bugs worked out on the engine and called me up to see if I want to go on a sea trial Saturday... I'm flying out to MI early afternoon so I don't think I'll be able to...

When I showed up today, the guy mentioned that there was another fellow who wanted to buy the boat, but was in the process of having his boat sold before he could buy this one. He offered the guy $6800. I was pretty set on not going over $6k, but now I'm thinking... it really is a clean boat... and I will be going over my $6k mark in fixing the 91 Evinrude on the Hydra. However, going with the Hydra will leave me with a higher quality boat and ride once my 96 Ocean Pro is on her. That boat would be worth over $10k easily... The Angler won't hold it's value as well as the Hydra and it comes with a single axle galvanized trailer whereas the Hydra comes with a 3 year old tandem axle galvanized trailer.

That said, the Angler is ready to fish! All I would have to do is register the boat in my name and go fishing--done deal. Whereas the Hydra situation would involve money and time... Plus, there's always the uncertainty of what the V20 will pull in with a 91 225 Evinrude instead of the 96 200 Ocean Pro... I'm hoping to get somewhere close to $6k for her. Is that feasible with the 91 Evinrude? (assuming the market turns around). Okay, enough rambling... What do you boys think?
