Well boys, I went to see the Angler and it's beautiful! Clean as a whistle and solid deck and transom. He ran the motor for me and it didn't perform as well as it should have. I could hardly tell that it wasn't up to par while he was giving it gas, but at idle, it was a little rough. He was the one who said he was disappointed with it, so I followed his lead without saying anything one way or the other. He said that the gas fill was left open overnight plus he thought the gas wasn't as fresh as it should be. Anyway, he's scheduled to have his gall bladder removed tomorrow, but says he plans to have it running like it should by Sunday and that he wants to give me a sea trial on it. I asked him if the boat seemed underpowered, but he said it gets on plane with no problem fully loaded with people on board.

I was tempted to make him an offer before I left, but I thought it would be wise to wait till the boat is to where it should be first.

I'm planning to see the Hydra on Friday. I figure I will know what to do once I see it up close.

From what I can tell, these are two good boats and I would be good to go with either one.
