Re: Chumbucket pics
Thanks Seakindly. Yeah, the cushions are original. The previous owner took very good care of this boat. He fished it once in a while, but I think it was more of a family boat. I thought about the anchor roller setup for the bow but decided against it. With the center console and low split rails, it's so easy to work the anchor to begin with, it's really not necessary. Also, when I launch and load the boat off the trailer, I step up onto the winch post and over the bow. Makes things real simple and nothing in the way to bark up my shins.
I decided against a kicker because of expense and the style fishing I do mostly. My previous boat (22' Grady-White W/A) had the kicker motor and downriggers. I used them for some time but eventually got away from that style fishing. Now if I want to troll, I'll use wire line or lead core to get my rigs down. It's very rocky in a lot of the areas I fish in and the downriggers were always getting hung up. As far as safety is concerned, I don't venture too far offshore anymore and I have all the safety equipment on board to call for help.
Thanks again man. 8)
