I had a 1984 115 Merc on a 19 foot centerconsole, it pushed it 43 mph. I'd say you should get 33 to 36 mph on a V-20. It was the best 2 stroke motor I've ever had, you could just look at the key and it would start.
You are talking about the old inline 6 115 Merc right?
The newer inline 4 115 Mercs will never compare to the old ones.
