It was easier for me to unbolt and remove the filler caps, then loosen the clamps on the vent tubes, then remove the screws to the floor from the tank, then slide the tank out being careful about the sending unit wires, now you can get to the exit hose and loosen it. Oh and all this is much easier with the tank empty.
