Lumber - I actually have the same issue. I have the stainless renegade 14 1/2 X 17 (I have to double check this, might be 15 1/2) and turn just under 5000 RPM. However, I have a v21 and a 175 hp etec. No idea how many knots I'm going. I'd feel better if it turned in the low to mid 5000s.
I plan on talking with the dealer this week and will let you know what I hear.
