Re: ebay deal

I have that baitwell on my '86, which is set up exactly the same way including the Sea Drive. Somebody oughta' buy that poor thing! About $1,000 less than I paid for mine originally at the "buy it...

Re: Advice on 1983 V20 C.C. (fisherman)

Check all the through hulls for double clamps and plastic. Other than that, so long as the transom is solid and the deck is firm, I would spend all my energy on the motor.

Re: Before shots

I am very "giddy." I can't wait flat out! But I'll have to cool my heels for a couple more weeks and try to be productive.

Re: it's mine now!

The VRO on the '85 Sea Drive just taken off my boat was still pumping fine after 19 years. I've seen posts that go both ways, but more seem to disconnect than not, however, my experience does not...

Re: Before shots

Re:  Herring are running

Very thorough MJ. Looks and sounds like a porgy. What size do you live line for Fluke and what size works for bass?

Re:  Herring are running

This is educational because I have never used a porgy for bait for anything and I didn't know anybody else did anywhere either. WHat do you catch with porgy? Here in CT, porgy/scup are pretty popular...

Re: Before shots

Thanks. I will try the laquer thinner. I'm going to move my fishfinder to that spot. I used to have a Loran there. Now I get to add the rod holders we talked about in an earlier post. I think your...

Re: New Pics In Gallery

Copy. I've got an old chart light right where your power outlet is under the lexan mount. I don't think I'll even need to cut another hole.

Re: Flipping a V-20

SH, there was a V-20 in my harbor last summer that had a 1/2 tower on it. I think it looks pretty good, a little top heavy but not as much as you might think. I need to find out if she was just...

Thanks for that info MJ, that is the stuff that makes a difference. I'll ask what the difference in cost is when my bracket finally comes in and I go back over to the shop.

Re: New 150

No controls, but they thought they'd be able to use my old OMC controls. It is a leftover so that is why it is relatively cheap. Carbed 150s generally are relatively affordable now that nobody wants...

A good marine canvas/upholstery shop can make you a set of cockpit bolsters, but it probably won't be cheap.
