Re: Anyone notice!!!!
CB why are you picking on the boat I almost replaced my V-20 with? The small cockpit (and the useless head compartment) killed it for me.

Re: Who's ready?
I am, it's going to be great. But I'm going to start getting frustrated when guys on the docks start bringing in striped bass and I'm not even in the water yet. The motor is in the shed at the shop,...

Re: Who's ready?
I just found out today that I have two more weeks before the bracket arrives from Armstrong :P. They're painting it (Whisper Gray awlgrip). I should be in before Memorial Day still though.

Re: New guy here
I would say that if you can buy a hull for <$2,500, assume another $8-10k for a complete repower (either I/O or outboard and NEW not rebuilt or remanufactured), then you know what you are getting...

Re: Off to Florida on Wednesday
I wish we had water like that here and the huge number of species to go after. Nice trip and quality family time, can't beat that.

Re: Before shots
Clamming is fun, especially for a 4 year old and the results are tasty. I'm going to put the name where the old one was, on both sides in 3" high letters. "Old School" is good given the heritage of...

Re: 1975 v20 20' I/O cuddy
I've got another approach for you wakedodger" 1) make sure your significant other isn't watching, 2)take out your checkbook, 3)go down to your favorite boat yard, 4)order an armstrong bracket...

Re: Boat is in finally
D'oh! For some reason I thought yours was an '86 as well. ??? I still use my wiper, but you do have to get yourself in a silly position for it to be worth anything - I even have an operable one on...

Re: Before shots
Fillet, great call on the laquer thinner. I wouldn't go so far as to say it was "easy" to get the goop from the contact paper on the port helm off as I think I'll need a toothbrush to get it all off,...

Cost of Marine Board?
I just paid $24 at West Marine for a 12X27X1/4" piece for a small repair I need to do (remove a flush mounted fire extinguisher mount that blocks rods in the starboard rod box)! What do you guys with...

Re: what to do?
Revel in the luxury of having two boats and go fishing for flounder in your little boat while the V-20 gets tuned up. Did you try a new primer bulb?

Re: Which 150 would you choose ?
If you can afford it, you should absolutely pay for the installation to get the warranty. It's probably a grand for the install which, to me anyway (and I know what they say about opinions but hey,...

I will be at my club helping everybody ELSE launch their boats next weekend. Hopefully mine will be ready a couple of weeks after that. But I have a good excuse!

Re: unsinkable?
I had a Sea Ox in a situation like Pipe Dream's. The boat, an '83 20' walkaround with a notched transom and a Merc 135 O/B, was moored by lines at both ends and the stern was facing the wrong way in...

Re: Finshed Shots!!
Very nice. Why do you bother to keep the old I/O cover? It's a BIG cutting board and I figure the way you work your boat you would want the extra cockpit space. Just wondering, not criticizing.
